The SR7C safety relay is a versatile device featuring seven safe relay outputs designed to quickly and safely stop moving parts of machines or equipment in hazardous situations. Developed for applications such as emergency stop circuits and guard monitoring, the SR7C meets the highest safety requirements up to PL e, SIL 3, and Category 4 according to EN ISO 13849-1 and IEC 61508. Four monitoring contacts and two semiconductor outputs provide precise status feedback.

Functionality:

• Normal operation:
- When the emergency stop circuit (e.g., guard door closed) is active, the SR7C enables the machine.
- Triggering the safety function (e.g., guard door opened) immediately interrupts the release circuits, safely shutting down the machine.

• Error detection:
- Redundantly designed force-guided relays ensure that a single fault does not compromise the safety function. Errors are detected through cyclical self-monitoring.


Mounting and Installation:

• Protection:
- Suitable for installation in control cabinets with at least IP54 protection according to EN 60204-1

• Mounting:
- Mounts on a 35 mm DIN rail according to EN 60715

• Spacing and cooling:
- Adhere to maximum thermal current specifications as per technical data
- Ensure adequate heat dissipation within the control cabinet
