Triton RAC-UP-350-A1 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) intermediate shelf, 350 mm, light grey content_copy

The Triton RAC-UP-350-A1 is a 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) shelf with an installation width of 1U and a depth of 350 mm, specifically developed for use in standard 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) racks. It serves as a stable mounting base for devices that cannot be directly mounted on rack profile rails, such as converters, routers, NAS systems, or external USB hard drives. The shelf is fixedly installed and attached to the front profile rail, featuring also a rear support to ensure secure anchoring within the rack. The surface is perforated, enabling improved air circulation within the rack and contributing to heat dissipation. The colour corresponds to the standard light grey RAL 7035, ensuring visual harmony with other rack components.

Applications
This shelf is designed for use in IT and network enclosures where a stable platform is required for non-rack-mountable devices. It is particularly suitable for environments where even load distribution and secure mounting within the rack are important, such as server rooms, data centres, or when installing network equipment in small offices. The maximum load capacity of 40 kg allows for the simultaneous mounting of multiple devices, provided the load is evenly distributed across the entire surface.

Functions and Equipment in Detail
The shelf is made of sheet steel, ensuring high mechanical stability and durability. Installation is carried out using the included mounting components. These include 8x screws M6x10, 8x plastic washers, 8x cage nuts M6, 4x screws M5x12, and 2x rear supports. These components enable secure and permanent attachment to the front and rear profile rails of the rack. The rear support ensures that the shelf does not shift or give way under load.

Technology Explained Simply
The 1U height corresponds to a standard dimension in the 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) rack system, approximately 44.45 mm. This value is internationally standardized and allows for compatible mounting with other rack components. The depth of 350 mm provides sufficient space for most common devices that cannot be directly rack-mounted. The perforated surface supports air circulation, which is particularly beneficial for devices with high heat generation. The maximum load capacity of 40 kg is designed for professional environments and allows for the mounting of multiple devices, provided the load is evenly distributed. The material sheet steel ensures high strength and resistance to mechanical stress.

Compatibility and Accessories
The shelf is designed for mounting on the front and rear profile rails of a 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) rack, with the distance between front and rear rails ranging from 309 mm to 417 mm. It is therefore compatible with most standard 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) racks that have these dimensions. Installation is carried out using the included screws, washers, and cage nuts. Additionally, 2x rear supports are included, enabling secure anchoring within the rack.

Installation and Mounting
Installation is performed by securing the shelf to the front profile rail of the rack using the provided screws and cage nuts. The rear support is attached to the rear profile rail to ensure additional stability. The perforated surface facilitates the mounting of devices with screw holes. Installation requires no additional tools beyond a screwdriver or suitable wrench. All required mounting components are included in the delivery scope.

Operational Advantages
The shelf provides a stable and secure mounting surface for devices that cannot be directly attached to rack profile rails. The perforated surface improves air circulation and contributes to heat dissipation, which can extend the service life of mounted devices. The maximum load capacity of 40 kg allows for the simultaneous mounting of multiple devices. The use of sheet steel ensures high mechanical strength and durability. The RAL 7035 colour ensures visual consistency with other rack components. Installation is simple and requires no additional tools or components.
