Triton RAC-UP-150-A1 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) intermediate shelf, 150 mm, front mounting, light grey content_copy

The Triton RAC-UP-150-A1 is a 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) accessory shelf, specifically designed for installation in standard 19-inch racks. It serves as a fixed partition and support level within server or network racks, enabling an organized division of rack space. The shelf is designed for front mounting and offers a depth of 150 mm, making it suitable for devices with shallow depth or as an intermediate shelf in existing rack configurations. The color is light gray, corresponding to RAL color 7035, and the shelf is perforated to ensure optimal airflow within the rack.

Applications
This shelf is suitable for use in IT infrastructures, server rooms, data centers, and other environments where structured placement of devices within a 19-inch rack is required. It is commonly used as an intermediate shelf between installed devices to distribute load on the rack structure and improve airflow. The maximum load capacity is 15 kg, which is sufficient for most standard applications.

Functions and Equipment in Detail
The shelf is designed as a 1HE module, meaning it occupies a height of one rack unit (HE). Front mounting is achieved using fixed mounting elements included in the delivery scope. The perforated surface ensures efficient cooling of devices installed above and below, as it supports airflow within the rack. The light gray color (RAL 7035) matches typical rack environments visually.

Technology Explained Simply
The designation 1HE (1 rack unit) corresponds to a height of 4.445 cm, which is the standard height for 19-inch modules. The depth of 150 mm is sufficient for many smaller devices, such as network switches or small servers. The perforated construction enables passive cooling, as air can flow through the openings. The maximum load capacity of 15 kg ensures stable mounting without overloading the rack structure.

Compatibility and Accessories
The shelf is designed for 19-inch racks and fits standard rack environments. It is configured for front mounting, allowing it to be directly attached to the front of the rack. Compatible accessories also available include additional shelves in various heights (e.g., 2HE) and depths (e.g., 200 mm), also in light gray finish. These can be used to expand or adapt the rack configuration.

Installation and Mounting
Mounting is performed on the front side of the rack. The delivery includes 8 screws M6 x 10, 8 plastic washers, and 8 cage nuts M6, which are used to secure the shelf to the rack holes. Installation requires no additional tools other than a screwdriver or appropriate wrench. The mounting is secure and ensures stable positioning of the shelf within the rack.

Operational Advantages
The shelf provides a stable partition within the rack, simplifying organization and maintenance of installed devices. The perforated surface supports cooling, increasing the operational reliability of the devices. Front mounting allows for easy installation and maintenance without impairing access to devices in the rear section of the rack. The maximum load capacity of 15 kg is sufficient for most applications, and the light gray color ensures a uniform visual appearance of the rack.
