Founded in 2001 by Daniel Szmigiel in Lorsch, Germany, TrekStor GmbH & Co. KG later moved its headquarters to Bensheim. Initially focused on USB drives and MP3 players, TrekStor expanded its range to include tablets, notebooks, e-book readers, and since 2019, e-scooters. Despite filing for bankruptcy in 2009, the company was revived by Telefield International Holdings from Hong Kong. TrekStor is known for its affordable multimedia and storage solutions.
