Telegärtner – connectivity from SteinenbronnTelegärtner Karl Gärtner GmbH was founded in 1945 and is based in Steinenbronn near Stuttgart. The company builds the parts where a network stops being a continuous cable: outlets, panels, plugs and couplers – the points at which cabling can be separated and at which it is measured when a fault occurs. In our range the focus is on fibre optics and its components, followed by patch panels and patch cords in Cat6, Cat6A and Cat7. Added to this are outlets for wall and device mounting, cover frames, module carriers and the tools for field assembly. For the installer, consistency decides the test report: outlet, installation cable, patch panel and patch cord all have to carry the same performance class, otherwise the link is only as good as its weakest element. A Cat6A outlet on a Cat5e patch cord does not make a Cat6A link. |

Frequently asked questions
How do Cat6A and Cat7 differ in practice?Both go beyond the requirements of Cat6, but differ in construction and in the specified transmission frequency. What matters is that all components of a link carry the same class – the class of the link follows the weakest element, not the best one.
Do I really need cleaning materials for a fibre link?Yes. Most faults on fibre links go back to contaminated connector end faces, not to broken fibres. Cleaning sticks and wipes therefore belong in every tool case that contains pigtails.
What is the difference between a loaded and an unloaded patch panel?A loaded panel comes complete with jacks and is quicker to install. An unloaded panel takes keystone modules and can be mixed – copper and fibre side by side, for example – or extended later.
Are Telegärtner items available from Lieske Elektronik?We carry 5.265 Telegärtner items. Availability is shown on every item; for larger quantities we will confirm the delivery date in advance.
