The field-terminable RJ45 connector from Telegärtner's MFP8 series enables fast and secure connection of end devices with RJ45 interface directly to the installation cable – without additional wall socket or patch cable. This connector is specifically designed for shielded cabling and is ideal for applications such as Modular Plug Terminated Link (MPTL), End-to-End Links (E2E Links), and Direct Attach Cabling (DAC). Installation takes only 60 seconds without special tools, significantly speeding up on-site installation and improving cost-efficiency. The direct cable-to-device connection makes the connection invisible and protects against unauthorized access, providing a high level of tamper resistance. The connector complies with the IEC 60603-7 RJ45 8P8C standard and is suitable for 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GBASE-T according to IEEE 802.3) as well as 4 Pair Power over Ethernet (4PPoE according to IEEE 802.3bt). The IPC piercing contacts are designed for both solid and stranded conductors, allowing flexible adaptation to various cable types. A four-chamber wire manager with color coding ensures precise and error-free wiring. The three-stage strain relief provides secure cable fixation with an outer diameter of 5.0 to 9.0 mm. The connector comes with a pre-installed protective cap and is UL-listed, emphasizing reliability and safety in use. The IP20 protection rating safeguards the connector against contact with live parts and against solid foreign objects.
