If the mobile IT equipment is moved within a larger radius than the connected RJ45 connection cable allows, the DDCP link disconnects the connection when a certain pulling force is reached and protects the expensive circuit boards of the IT equipment from damage such as torn out contacts or loss of the RJ45 Socket for network connection. Expensive repairs are now a thing of the past. Since the triggering force is below the standard specifications for RJ45 plugs and sockets according to IEC 60603-7, it is ensured that the connection between the RJ45 connection cable and DDCP link is released first. Nevertheless, the DDCP offers sufficient insertion and removal forces to prevent accidental loosening of the connection at low tensile forces.
