The calibration fixture is used in combination with a Vector Network Analyzer or Spectrum Analyzer with tracking generator to measure the transfer impedance or insertion loss of BCI probes.
Each Tekbox RF current monitoring probe is supplied with a corresponding calibration sheet containing the insertion loss and transfer impedance values as a function of frequency.
Calibration fixtures can be used for periodic inspection of probes or for health checks in case a probe has been dropped and there is a suspicion that the ferrite core has been damaged.
In addition, calibration fixtures are used for calibrating conducted immunity test setups. For detailed information on using calibration fixtures for this purpose, see the application note Conducted Immunity Basics.
