Classification is into equipment groups (I: mining, II: other) and categories (1: very high risk, 2: high risk, 3: normal risk). |
▶ What IP protection class do I need for an industrial phone in production? For typical production environments with dust and occasional water jets, IP65 is sufficient. In areas with high-pressure cleaning or submersion risk, IP67 or IP69K is recommended. For outdoor areas with frost, the operating temperature range should also be checked (–25 °C to +60 °C is standard for quality industrial phones). Protection class is defined per DIN EN 60529. |
