Zur Steigerung der Energieeffizienz ist der Umrichter mit einem energieoptimalen Steuerungsverfahren mit automatischer Flussabsenkung ausgerüstet. Er stellt zudem den aktuellen Energieverbrauch dar und verfügt über weitere integrierte Energiesparfunktionen. Der Keep-Running-Modus ermöglicht einen stabilen Betrieb auch bei schwierigen und schwankenden Netzbedingungen. Der Umrichter ist in neun Baugrößen in einem Leistungsbereich von 0,12 kW bis 30 kW für den Betrieb an ein- und dreiphasigen Netzen (1AC 200 V bis 240 V, 3AC 380 V bis 480 V) verfügbar. Der SINAMICS V20 kann mittels verschiedener Optionen, wie lokale Bedieneinheit Basic Operator Panel (BOP) oder mobile Bedieneinheit SINAMICS V20 Smart Access Module, BOP-Interface, Standard-Netzwerkkabel, Netzfilter, Bremswiderstände, Schirmung, etc. individuell den Anforderungen der Applikation angepasst werden. Zudem ermöglicht er die einfache Systemkonfiguration mit vordefinierten Makros im Umrichter und vorgefertigten Funktionsblöcken aus dem Totally Integrated Automation Portal (TIA-Portal) für den schnellen Anschluss z.B. an eine SIMATIC-S7-1200 Steuerung.
