Use the 3M Scotchlok IDC Single Wire Connector UY2 with its special insulation displacement contact to create a reliable connection to wires in common telecommunications cables. The conductor is inserted into the U-contact connector, creating a spring-loaded connection. This removes the insulation and presses all conductors together with a firm, elastic pressure in one movement. The conductor insulation does not need to be removed. 3M Scotchlok Single Wire Connectors are factory filled with sealant that protects against corrosion and moisture. They are also available in a dry version for indoor use. Various sizes and wire combinations are available to meet all requirements. Solid wire size 0.4 mm to 0.9 mm with a maximum insulation diameter of 2.08 mm.
