APC Switched Rack Power Distribution Units (PDUs) provide comprehensive control of system power and active monitoring. Remotely controlled outlets allow on/off switching for reboots and prevent unauthorized use of individual outlets. Adjustable delays allow a user-definable sequence for switching connected systems on and off. In addition, overloading of power circuits can be achieved by selectively switching off loads and the operating time of critical systems can be extended by prioritizing load distribution. Current measurements enable real-time remote monitoring of connected loads. Switched Rack PDUs allow real-time power monitoring and have a port for a temperature/humidity sensor and lockable IEC outlets. User-definable alarms warn of potential overloads of power circuits before critical IT systems fail. Switched Rack PDUs can be accessed, configured and controlled via secure web, SNMP or Telnet interfaces. These are complemented by APC Centralized Management Platforms that use InfraStruxure Central, Capacity Manager and Change Manager.
