The RCS Audio-Systems WHM-025 is a water-resistant handheld megaphone in light blue finish, specifically designed for professional use in challenging conditions. It is commonly used in areas such as police, fire department, security services, or marine environments, where clear and understandable communication over long distances is required. The device features high speech intelligibility, a robust design, and an ergonomic shape, enabling easy handling even during extended operations.

Applications
The WHM-025 is particularly suitable for environments with moisture or splashing water, such as watersports, shipping, or coastal areas. The IPX4 protection rating according to IEC 60529 ensures protection against splashing water from all directions, making the device suitable for wet or damp environments. The transparent sound horn provides optimal all-around visibility, facilitating handling under difficult visibility conditions.

Functions and Features in Detail
The megaphone has a maximum power output of 25 W, enabling a range of up to 1,000 meters outdoors. The optimized directional characteristic ensures the device operates with minimal feedback, reducing unwanted noise and feedback. This allows for clear, targeted announcements. The intuitive operation makes usage easier even in stressful situations.

Technology Explained Simply
The device is powered by six standard C-cell batteries (also known as UM-2). These batteries provide an operating time of up to 6 hours under normal use. Power is supplied via batteries installed inside the device. The 25 W power output ensures sufficient volume to be clearly heard over long distances. The IPX4 protection rating means the device is protected against splashing water, but not against submersion or underwater conditions.

Compatibility and Accessories
As an alternative or successor model, the WHM-025S in red is available. Both models differ only in color, while technical specifications and functions remain identical. No additional specific accessories are mentioned in connection with the WHM-025.

Mounting and Installation
The WHM-025 is a portable device that requires no additional mounting or installation. It is held in hand and operated directly. Control is via integrated buttons for adjusting volume, siren signal, and voice mode.

Operational Advantages
Thanks to its low weight of approximately 1.1 kg and compact dimensions (diameter 208 mm, length 320 mm), the device is easy to transport and handle. The use of ASA plastic ensures high mechanical stability and resistance to external influences. The combination of long range, splash protection, and low feedback technology makes the WHM-025 a reliable communication tool in demanding operational situations.
