The PEU-056B digital expansion unit is designed to provide a modular and scalable extension to the PSS-224C control center. Each PEU-056B allows the integration of up to 56 additional loudspeaker circuits or relay contacts and connects directly to the PSS-224C via the PFK-200 linking cable. Up to three PEU-056B units can be connected to a single control center, enabling the management of a total of 224 speaker lines or switching relays.

The base version of the PEU-056B is delivered without relay cards but can be flexibly equipped with up to three cards of type PRC-408C or PRC-508A. These cards meet the requirements of VDE 0828 / EN 60849 and provide monitored, fail-safe relay control—ideal for use in critical applications such as industrial systems, public infrastructure, and large-scale installations.

Power and relay control are supplied directly by the PSS-224C control center, eliminating the need for a separate power source. The modular design ensures that the PEU-056B can be configured precisely to match system needs while maintaining high levels of operational safety and flexibility.
