RCS Audio-Systems PCS-500 Portable Compact-System, 400 W RMS content_copy

The RCS Audio-Systems PCS-500 is a compact, mobile sound system designed for use with up to 400 listeners. It is suitable for both mobile and stationary operation and is delivered fully assembled. The system includes a mixing console, three power amplifiers, speakers, and a UHF wireless system for wireless microphone transmission. The components are matched to ensure optimal sound quality and operational reliability.

Applications
The PCS-500 is suitable for events in medium to large rooms, such as conferences, school events, small concerts, or presentations. The recommended audience size of up to 400 people is based on the total power output and speaker configuration. The system is intended for indoor use and can be installed temporarily or permanently.

Features and Equipment in Detail
The system features a mixing console with a total of 9 microphone inputs, 7 mono line inputs, 4 stereo line inputs, one aux input, and one tape input. The speakers are equipped with a 10-inch woofer and a 1.29-inch tweeter, offering an RMS power of 220 W with a maximum power of 350 W. The speakers can be connected via Speaker In/Out connectors, allowing for flexible arrangement. The integrated UHF wireless system operates in the frequency range of 863–865 MHz and offers 16 frequencies, with the standard system configuration including one channel. The wireless technology is expandable up to four channels, enabling the use of multiple wireless microphones.

Technology Explained Simply
The total power output of the system is 3 × 300 W RMS at 4 Ohm, equivalent to 900 W program power. At 8 Ohm impedance, the RMS power is 3 × 200 W, or 600 W program power. The total power consumption of the system is approximately 1,350 W. Power supply is via 220–240 V AC at 50–60 Hz. The speakers are designed as full-range systems, meaning they cover the entire audible frequency range without requiring additional subwoofers. The combination of mixing console, amplifiers, and speakers provides an integrated, cable-reduced solution.

Compatibility and Accessories
The system is designed for use with the integrated UHF wireless system, which can be expanded up to four channels. No specific accessories are mentioned in the sources that can be directly combined with the PCS-500. However, the expandability of the wireless system allows integration of additional wireless microphones, provided they operate in the 863–865 MHz frequency range and are compatible with the system.

Assembly and Installation
The PCS-500 is delivered fully assembled, so no additional assembly is required. The system dimensions are 483 mm (width) × 89 mm (height) × 340 mm (depth), with the mixing console being 2 HE high. The weight is 3.3 kg for the mixing console, and 5.5 kg total with full equipment. Installation is done by connecting to a mains power supply and linking the speakers via Speaker In/Out connectors.

Operational Advantages
The system is characterized by its compactness and user-friendliness. Quick setup within minutes and integrated wireless technology reduce the effort required for event preparation. The combination of mixing console, amplifiers, and speakers in a single system minimizes the number of required devices and cables. The expandable wireless technology offers flexibility when using multiple microphones, which is advantageous for larger events.
