Overview
The RAK7248 WisGate Developer D4H RAK7248 is a gateway for LoRAWAN, which consists of a Raspberry Pi4, a RAK2287 Concentrator and a RAK2287 Pi HAT. The RAK2287 includes a GPS module and a heatsink for better performance and heat dissipation management.
The built-in RAK2287 uses Semtech's SX1302 chip, whose built-in LoRa® concentrator IP core is a powerful digital signal processing engine. It can receive up to 8 LoRa packets with different spreading factors on different channels and is available in several variants so that it can be used for international standard bands. This unique capability enables the implementation of innovative network architectures with advantages over other short-haul systems. RAK2287 Pi HAT is a Raspberry Pi form factor converter board that allows the RAK2287 module to be mounted on the top of the Raspberry Pi. It has one (1) 40-pin Pi HAT socket and an mPCIe connector to connect RAK2287 to the Raspberry Pi 4.
The RAK7248 is ideal for prototypes, proof-of-concept demonstrations or evaluations. It includes a ready-to-use LoRaWAN gateway operating system that can be connected to a LoRaWAN server. Additionally, it is developer-friendly and easy even for non-technical users to set up a LoRaWAN system.
