Overview
Expand your Raspberry Pi-based networking solution with the option to be powered directly from your gateway's Ethernet port. You don't need a separate power supply! This feature is particularly useful for applications that utilize wired network connectivity.
RAK9003 PoE Pi Hat is a Raspberry PI form factor add-on board that plugs directly into a Raspberry PI. RAK9003 PoE Pi Hat allows the Raspberry Pi to be powered via a standard CAT 5 Ethernet cable.
RAK9003 PoE Pi Hat is compatible with the IEEE 802.3af/at Power-over-Ethernet (PoE), it is compatible with both PoE Mode A and Mode B. The RAK9003 PoE Pi Hat signature and control circuitry provides the PoE AT compatibility signature and power classification required by the Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) before providing up to 30W of power to the port. The RAK9003 PoE Pi Hat is compatible with Class 0 to 4 devices. The highly efficient DC/DC converter operates over a wide input voltage range and delivers a regulated output with low ripple and noise. The DC/DC converter also has integrated overload and short-circuit protection at the output.
