Introduction
Externally powered USB hubs are the only way to ensure the greatest possible compatibility with USB devices. The UPort(TM) 404 and UPort(TM) 407 products are industrial USB 2.0 hubs that expand one USB port to four and seven USB ports. The hubs offer true USB 2.0 data transfer at 480 Mbps per port - even in high-load applications. Thanks to USB-IF certification and full USB Plug & Play compatibility, the UPort 404 and UPort 407 models offer a full 500 mA per port so your USB devices function correctly. Support for 12-40VDC also ensures these hubs are ideal for mobile applications.
USB-IF Certification
The UPort 404 and UPort 407 industrial USB 2.0 hubs have received USB-IF (USB Implementers Forum) certification. USB-IF verifies a series of strict electrical requirements for high-speed hubs according to the USB 2.0 specification. This means that the UPort 404 and UPort 407 models support fast USB 2.0 for transfers at up to 480 Mbps. This specification is fully compliant with interoperability requirements, provides sufficient power to connected devices, and enables successful transition to fast operation from low power mode.
Level 4 ESD Protection
