Moxa MB3170-T MGate

The Moxa MGate MB3170 and MB3270 Series are advanced 1- and 2-port Modbus gateways designed to convert between Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU/ASCII protocols. These industrial-grade gateways support serial-to-Ethernet as well as serial master-to-serial slave communication, making them ideal for mixed network environments where legacy serial devices must integrate with modern TCP/IP systems.

Featuring support for up to 32 Modbus TCP clients and 32 TCP servers, as well as simultaneous access by serial and Ethernet masters, the MB3170/MB3270 offers unmatched flexibility. Auto Device Routing simplifies setup by auto-generating slave routing tables, while the emergency request tunnel and priority command handling ensure reliable performance under load.

Fiber models provide up to 40 km transmission via optical cable, offering enhanced noise immunity and safety in hazardous areas. The optional "-I" variants come with 2 kV isolation, ensuring stable operation in demanding electrical environments. The gateways are DIN-rail mountable and operate in wide temperature ranges for maximum industrial reliability.
