Die EDS-205A Serie von Moxa bietet kompakte, unmanaged 5-Port Ethernet-Switches, die speziell für den zuverlässigen Einsatz in rauen Industrieumgebungen konzipiert wurden. Diese Switches unterstützen sowohl 10/100BaseT(X)-Kupferanschlüsse (RJ45) als auch optional 100BaseFX-Glasfaseranschlüsse (Multimode oder Singlemode, SC oder ST) für größere Reichweiten.
Dank redundanter 12/24/48 VDC-Stromeingänge, einem IP30-Aluminiumgehäuse und umfangreicher Zertifizierungen (z. B. ATEX Zone 2, Class I Div. 2, EN 50121-4, NEMA TS2, DNV/LR/ABS/NK) sind diese Switches für den Einsatz in kritischen Anwendungen wie Verkehr, Bahn, Energie, Fertigung oder der Schifffahrt bestens geeignet.
Die Modelle bieten wahlweise einen erweiterten Temperaturbereich von -40 bis 75 °C (-T Modelle) und unterstützen Broadcast Storm Protection sowie Quality of Service (QoS) via DIP-Schalter. Darüber hinaus erfüllen sie die Anforderungen der PROFINET Conformance Class A (CC-A) und sind somit ideal für PROFINET-basierte Automatisierungsnetzwerke.
