Why do my LED MR16 lamps flicker after conversion?
The existing transformer is not LED-compatible. Causes: minimum load undercut (electronic transformer needs e.g. 20 W, LEDs only deliver 12 W) or iron-core transformer not compatible. Solution: replace with LED driver 12 V DC.
Can I operate GU5.3 LEDs with any 12 V transformer?
No. Electronic transformers: check whether LED-approved and whether minimum load is met. Magnetic iron-core transformers: mostly not compatible with LED – replacement recommended.
Which beam angle is optimal for display case lighting?
24° for targeted illumination of individual exhibits. 36° for wider coverage. Combining 24° and 36° creates an even, high-contrast display case effect.
Are dimmable MR16 LEDs available?
Yes – for 12 V LED dimmer systems (DALI, 0–10 V or PWM). Note: standard GU5.3 LEDs are not dimmable. Order dimmable version and matching driver together.
