Glow and Miniature LampsGlow lamps and miniature lamps are used as orientation, control and signal lights. Their low power consumption makes them ideal for continuous operation in switches, sockets, indicator lights and emergency lights. Glow lamps (NE types, 0.3–0.5 W, 230 V) emit orange-red light and are used in light switches and sockets as orientation lights. Miniature lamps (T5, T10, E10/E14, 1–5 W) serve as status indicators in switchgear, machines and measuring instruments. For new applications, we recommend LED indicator lamps (SMD, T5-LED, E10-LED) with 50,000 h service life and 0.1–0.5 W power consumption. Questions about socket, colour temperature or quantity? FAQ
What is the difference between a glow lamp and a miniature lamp?
Glow lamps (neon tubes) illuminate without a heating filament through gas ionisation. Miniature lamps are classic miniature incandescent lamps with tungsten filament.
Can I replace glow lamps in switches with LED?
Yes – LED orientation lights for switches (230 V, 0.3–0.5 W) are available. Ensure compatibility with dimmer and switch type (afterglow LEDs may glow faintly even when light is switched off).
