LIFA – innovative lighting systems from Münster

LIFA innovative Lichtsysteme GmbH, headquartered in Münster, Germany, has been active in professional lighting technology for over 65 years. As a German manufacturer with in-house development and production, LIFA covers the full spectrum of commercial and industrial lighting – with solutions for offices, industry, outdoor areas, warehouses and public buildings.

The portfolio comprises office and recessed luminaires, high-bay luminaires, downlights, continuous-row lighting systems, pendant and surface-mounted fittings, track lights as well as outdoor and lamp solutions based on modern LED technology. A defining feature is the sustainable design principle „replace instead of dispose“: pluggable lamps and exchangeable technology extend luminaire service life and significantly reduce maintenance and spare-part costs.

Why LIFA?

Sustainable lighting technology with low life-cycle costs

Replace instead of dispose

Pluggable lamps and exchangeable technology make replacing a complete luminaire unnecessary. This conserves resources and largely avoids follow-up costs in the event of a later failure.

Made in Germany

Development and manufacturing at the Münster site ensure short lead times, consistent quality and long-term spare-part availability – even for projects with a long life cycle.

Over 65 years of lighting expertise

Decades of experience in lighting technology feed into robust, standard-compliant luminaires for demanding commercial and industrial applications.

Efficiency & Sustainability

Energy-efficient LED technology reduces power consumption and carbon footprint. The sustainable design was recognised with the German Sustainability Award.

Frequently Asked Questions about LIFA

Answers for purchasing and planning

Which LIFA luminaires are suitable for industrial and storage halls? For large ceiling heights and continuous operation, LIFA high-bay luminaires and continuous-row systems are the right choice. They deliver high luminous flux at low energy consumption and can be quickly installed as a continuous light line. For exact design (lux values, mounting height) we advise you on a project basis.

What does the „replace instead of dispose“ principle mean at LIFA? LIFA luminaires are designed so that lamps and pluggable technology can be exchanged individually in case of failure or modernisation. Instead of disposing of the entire luminaire, the housing is retained – significantly reducing spare-part and labour costs and conserving resources.

Are LIFA luminaires standard-compliant for office workplace lighting? Yes. LIFA office and recessed luminaires offer glare-controlled LED optics for standard-compliant workplace lighting. We are happy to clarify which models suit your room situation as part of a project enquiry.
