Which smartphones are compatible with KoamTac scanners?
KoamTac companion scanners connect via Bluetooth to Apple iOS (iPhone, iPad) and Android devices – including Samsung Galaxy and other common business smartphones. The KTSync app enables easy configuration and integration into existing enterprise applications.
What distinguishes companion scanners from SmartSled solutions?
Companion scanners (e.g. KDC180) are standalone mini-scanners that attach wirelessly to a smartphone. SmartSled solutions (e.g. KDC1100) physically enclose the smartphone and add an RFID reader, extended battery and ergonomic handle – ideal for intensive continuous operation.
Are KoamTac scanners suitable for healthcare applications?
Yes. KoamTac offers models specifically designed for hospitals and care facilities (KDC380 series) with hygiene-friendly surfaces. The devices support all common barcode symbologies for patient wristbands and medication labels.
