One- and two-surface operation
The operation of functions or electrical consumers depends on the application and the connected components.
When switches are connected, operation follows the usual switch function. When
buttons are connected, two operating types are common:
Single-surface operation Lighting: Switching a light on/off or dimming it brighter/darker is done alternately by repeatedly pressing the relevant button.
Two-surface operation of lighting: Two buttons form a pair of functions. Pressing the left button switches/dims a light on/brighter, pressing the right button off/darker.
Single-surface operation of blinds: The blinds are moved up or down alternately by repeatedly pressing the relevant button.
Two-surface operation of blinds: Two buttons form a pair of functions. Pressing the left button moves a blind up, pressing the right button moves it down.
