Network SwitchesEthernet switches form the backbone of modern LAN infrastructures — connecting workstations, servers, access points and IoT devices with defined bandwidths and QoS prioritization. Managed switches offer VLAN segmentation, Spanning Tree (RSTP/MSTP), LACP link aggregation, SNMP management and RMON — essential in professional enterprise networks from 10 ports. PoE switches (PoE+: 30 W, PoE++: 90 W) power IP cameras, WLAN APs, IP phones and smart lighting directly over the network cable without separate power supply. FAQ
Managed vs. Unmanaged Switch — which to choose?
Unmanaged: plug-and-play for home/micro-office. Smart-Managed: VLAN and PoE control. Fully Managed: SNMP, QoS, LACP, redundancy — for enterprise networks.
How much PoE budget does my switch need?
Add wattage of all PoE devices: AP ≈ 15–25 W, IP camera ≈ 10–25 W, IP phone ≈ 3–7 W. Switch PoE budget must exceed sum of all devices.
10G vs. 25G uplink — when is 25G worthwhile?
10G for typical office environments up to ~200 users. 25G when many VMs, storage replication or high-resolution video transmission saturate the uplink.
