More range for PoE connections - even in harsh outdoor weather
The Intellinet Outdoor Gigabit High-Power PoE+ Extender, model 561211, extends the range of a connection between PoE source and PoE end device by a further 100 m using a Cat5 or Cat6 cable . This overcomes the 100 m range limitation that normally limits PoE connections. For even greater distances, up to five extenders can be cascaded. No power supply is required for power supply; the extender draws power directly from the PoE source.
Designed for outdoor use
With a protection class of IP65 and functionality in temperatures between -40 and 75°C, this extender defies even the most adverse conditions. For purely indoor use, you can alternatively use the Intellinet PoE+ Extender Model 560962.
Easy installation
Simply connect your PoE injector or PoE switch to the PoE In" port and the PoE end device such as VoIP phone or camera to the "PoE Out port. That's all. No further configuration is necessary.
Less cabling costs
Access points, cameras and VoIP phones that are otherwise too far from your switch or injector to power them via PoE are within reach with this extender. This saves you time and money on power cables and sockets that you would have to lay without PoE.
Power over Ethernet 802.3at Compliant
This Gigabit High-Power PoE+ Extender supports the IEEE 802.3at protocol. It transports data at up to 1000 Mbit/s and power at up to 30 watts. It is also backwards compatible with IEEE 802.3af PoE devices. The cable length at both ends can be up to 100 m for a total data and power range of 200 m.
Cascadable
To bridge even greater distances, you can connect several extenders in series. Please note that for each additional extender you lose approximately 4 watts of usable power. If possible, use a PoE injector with a 30 watt rating (e.g. Intellinet Model 560566). Up to four cascaded extenders are possible for a total range of 500 m. - Extends an existing PoE connection beyond the 100 m distance limit
