Leveraging the IEEE 802.3bz standard, Intellinet Network Solutions' 10 Gigabit copper SFP+ transceiver module also supports gigabit speeds using Cat6 and Cat5e network cables. Cat6 transmits and receives data at up to 5 Gbit/s, while the Cat5e cable still achieves a strong 2.5 Gbit/s.
