With this PCI interface card, you add four 9-pin serial ports to desktop PCs to continue using proven devices such as modems, IR receivers, data cables, or ISDN systems. Setup is via the 32-bit PCI slot, resources such as IRQ and I/O addresses are assigned automatically. 16C550-compatible UARTs with 256-byte FIFO support stable data transfers up to 115.2 kb/s and reduce system load during continuous transmission.
