The passive Mini-SAS board adapter routes an external 26-pin SFF-8088 socket to an internal 36-pin SFF-8087 socket. This allows you to connect external storage enclosures to internal controllers or backplanes and implement clean feed-throughs through the PCI slot without additional setup effort.
In professional IT environments, the adapter proves itself when building storage devices in short or tall enclosures, in rack stations, external hard drive enclosures, and server blade racks. It supports on-site setups and expansions in existing infrastructures of companies and public institutions.
