The adapter connects a cable with a DVI-I 24+5 plug to a DVI-D 24+1 socket and forwards only the digital DVI-D signal. This lets you continue using existing cabling and integrate digital displays or devices with a DVI-D port cleanly into the signal path.
It proves itself in professional IT environments, in on-site deployments and in service deployments when existing infrastructures in companies and public institutions are to be expanded flexibly.
