Product information for Hugo Brennenstuhl 1156057018:
Applications
The power strip is designed for use in IT and server rooms, data centers, and technical workspaces where multiple devices need to be connected to a common power supply. The 19-inch form factor enables easy installation in standard rack systems. The strip is particularly suitable for operating network devices, servers, switches, monitors, and other electronic equipment requiring stable and accessible power supply.
Functions and Equipment in Detail
The power strip features eight Schuko outlets arranged at a 45° angle. This angled arrangement facilitates the insertion and removal of plugs, especially in tight rack spaces. The integrated on/off switch allows for centralized power shut-off for all connected devices. The switch is illuminated, ensuring visibility of the operational status even in poorly lit rooms. The power strip comes with a power cable that is 3 meters long. This cable allows flexible positioning of the power strip within the rack, independent of the location of the power outlet.
Technology Explained Simply
The 45° arrangement of the outlets reduces mechanical stress on plugs and cables, as plugs are not inserted vertically but slightly angled. This extends the lifespan of the plug connections and reduces the risk of damage. The illuminated safety switch not only enables visual monitoring but also allows for safe disconnection of the entire power supply, which is beneficial during maintenance work or in the event of a power failure. The 3-meter power cable provides sufficient reach to position the power strip near the rack unit without creating long cable runs.
Compatibility and Accessories
The power strip is designed for 19-inch rack systems and can be mounted in standard rack installations. Mounting is done using the integrated mounting flanges located on the sides of the strip. The power strip does not include additional accessories such as cable ties, protective caps, or connection adapters. Compatibility is limited to use in 19-inch racks and connection to Schuko outlets.
Mounting and Installation
Mounting is performed using the integrated mounting flanges on the sides of the power strip. These flanges allow secure attachment to a 19-inch rack. Installation requires no additional tools or components. The power strip is slid into the rack and secured to the rack verticals using the mounting flanges. The power cable is connected to a power outlet. The positioning of the power strip within the rack is flexible, as long as sufficient space is available for cable routing and access to the outlets.
Advantages in Operation
The power strip provides centralized power supply for multiple devices, reducing the number of required power outlets. The 45° arrangement of the outlets simplifies connecting and disconnecting cables, especially in cramped racks. The illuminated switch allows for quick visual monitoring of the operational status. The 3-meter cable length offers flexibility in positioning. The power strip is designed for use in professional IT environments where reliability and accessibility of power supply are essential.
