The halogen-free control cable type 13418 is a flexible, high-quality cable in accordance with DIN VDE 0285-525-3-11 and DIN EN 50525-3-11, additionally certified according to UL Style 20939 and UL Std. 758. It is ideally suited for applications in machine and plant engineering, climate technology, storage and handling technology, shipbuilding, as well as in the field of renewable energies such as wind turbine construction. The cable features high mechanical load capacity and flexibility, is resistant to oils, fats, weather influences, UV radiation, hydrolysis, and ozone, and is abrasion- and wear-resistant. The materials used are silicone- and cadmium-free and do not contain any substances that impair paint adhesion, thus enhancing processability and environmental compatibility. The cable is highly flame-retardant and self-extinguishing, in accordance with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 and CSA FT1, and meets the requirements for halogen-free properties as well as low smoke density in case of fire. The grey outer sheath (RAL 7001) with meter marking and the black conductors with white digit printing according to DIN VDE 0293 enable easy identification and installation. The Cu stranded conductor complies with DIN VDE 0295 Class 5 (fine-stranded) and ensures high flexibility. The cable is suitable for fixed installation or flexible applications, without repeated movement and without tensile stress. The rated voltage is 300/500 V (UL/CSA 600 V), the test voltage is 3000 V. The temperature range for moving installation is between -30°C and +80°C, and for fixed installation between -40°C and +80°C. The minimum bending radius is 10 times the cable diameter for moving installation and 4 times for fixed installation. Flexibility is confirmed by alternating bend testing according to DIN VDE 0473-396 / DIN EN 50396. The cable is recyclable and thus environmentally friendly.
