The Helavia 15-029 black from Ses-Sterling is a moulded cable protection part made of polychloroprene rubber, specifically developed for use in electrical and installation technology. As a Moulded Cap, it provides secure covering and protection for cable connections, preventing mechanical damage as well as the ingress of dust and moisture. The black-coloured version is robust and suitable for industrial applications where high requirements for material resistance and durability exist.

Applications
This cable protection part is particularly suitable for use in electrical installations, machine and plant cabling, and in environments where protection against external influences such as moisture, dust, or mechanical stress is required. The elastic properties of polychloroprene rubber allow for a tight fit on various cable diameters, enabling it to function both as a strain relief and as a protective cap. The material composition ensures high resistance to weathering, oil, chemicals, and UV radiation, making it suitable for outdoor use or in harsh industrial environments.

Functions and Features in Detail
The Helavia 15-029 black is manufactured as a moulded part, ensuring uniform structure and high mechanical strength. The surface is smooth and black, enhancing the visual appearance in technical installations. Polychloroprene rubber, the material used, is characterised by its elasticity and resistance to environmental influences. The protective cap, due to its shape and material properties, helps protect cable connections from contamination and mechanical stress.

Technology Explained Simply
Polychloroprene rubber is a synthetic elastomer known for its high resistance to chemical influences, weathering, and UV radiation. It is flexible and dimensionally stable, making it ideal for producing protective caps that must withstand prolonged stress. The moulded cap design allows for a precise fit on cables of different diameters, achieving a tight seal. The black-coloured version is not only visually consistent but also resistant to light-induced ageing.

Compatibility and Accessories
The Helavia 15-029 black is designed as a universal cable protection part and can be used on various cable diameters, although exact fit parameters are not specified. It is intended as a single unit, used in conjunction with cables, connectors, or other installation components. The packaging unit contains 50 pieces, suitable for larger installations or series assembly. There are no specific accessories designed to be combined directly with this item, as it is a standalone protective component.

Installation and Mounting
Mounting is done by simply sliding or pressing the protective cap onto the cable, with the elastic properties of the material ensuring a secure and tight connection. No additional fastening or tools are required. Installation takes place directly at the cable connection, where the cap covers the transition between cable and connector or enclosure. Its easy handling makes it particularly suitable for electrical and installation work.

Operational Advantages
Using the Helavia 15-029 black increases the safety and longevity of cable connections. Its resistance to chemicals, oil, and UV radiation reduces the risk of material fatigue or failure. The tight fit protects against moisture ingress, which is especially beneficial in damp or industrial environments. The robust design ensures a long service life and minimises maintenance and replacement needs.
