DIGITUS AK-330114-030-S HDMI High Speed with Ethernet connection cable, 3 m, black content_copy

The DIGITUS HDMI connection cable Type A, model AK-330114-030-S, is a High Speed connection cable with Ethernet functionality, designed for connecting audio and video devices such as Blu-ray players, gaming consoles or other sources to televisions, monitors or PCs. The cable supports Full HD resolutions up to 1080p at 60 Hz and is also suitable for 3D video content. It enables the transmission of high-resolution video and audio over a single cable and additionally offers the capability to transmit Ethernet data over the same cable, which is relevant for IP-based applications such as controlling smart home devices or network streaming. The connection is made via standardised Type A connectors (male/male), ensuring universal compatibility with common HDMI ports.

Applications
This cable is intended for use in private households as well as in small IT and telecommunications applications. It is particularly suitable for connecting home entertainment electronics, such as Blu-ray players, gaming consoles, set-top boxes or computers, with screens that support HDMI connections. The integrated Ethernet functionality allows use in networks where data transmission occurs via the HDMI cable, for example when connecting Smart TVs to the local network without additional network cables.

Functions and Features in Detail
The cable has a length of 3 metres, sufficient to connect devices in a typical living or office space. The connectors are fitted with gold-plated contacts, ensuring a reliable and corrosion-resistant electrical connection. The cable is black in colour, allowing it to blend in visually with most environments. The connectors have a height of 30 mm and a length/depth of 130 mm, matching the standard for HDMI Type A connectors.

Technology Explained Simply
The cable supports HDMI specification 1.4, enabling transmission of Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) at 60 Hz. Additionally, it is designed for 3D video content, making it suitable for use with 3D-capable TVs and projectors. The term High Speed refers to the ability to transmit data rates up to 10.2 Gbit/s, sufficient for high-resolution video and audio transmission.

This extends the application range beyond Full HD, particularly for devices supporting 4K resolution.

Compatibility and Accessories
The cable is compatible with all devices featuring an HDMI Type A connection. It can therefore be used between various sources (e.g. Blu-ray player, PC, gaming console) and receivers (e.g. TV, monitor). Support for HDMI 1.4 and the integrated Ethernet channel enables use in systems based on IP communication protocols. No special accessories are required, as the connection is made directly via HDMI ports.

Installation and Mounting
Installation is carried out by simply plugging the HDMI connectors into the respective ports on the devices. The connectors are designed to engage in only one direction, eliminating the possibility of incorrect insertion. The 3-metre cable length provides sufficient flexibility to connect devices within a room. No additional securing or mounting is required, as the cable can be routed independently.

Operational Advantages
The cable combines video, audio and network transmission in a single cable, reducing the number of required connections and simplifying installation. The gold-plated contacts ensure a stable and long-lasting connection, even with frequent plugging and unplugging. Support for Full HD, 3D and 4K Ultra HD expands application possibilities to modern display technologies. The Ethernet functionality enables use in networked systems without requiring additional cables.
