The DIGITUS HDMI High Speed connection cable Type A with Ethernet, model AK-330114-020-S, is a connection cable for transmitting audio and video signals between devices such as Blu-ray players, game consoles, computers, and displays. It connects devices with HDMI ports and enables transmission of Full HD, Ultra HD 4K with a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels at 30 Hz, as well as 3D content. The cable supports HDMI specification 1.4 and is therefore suitable for transmitting high-resolution video signals and high-quality audio formats. It features an integrated Ethernet channel (HEC), enabling network usage over the HDMI cable, thus avoiding the need for additional network cables.

Applications
This cable is designed for use in home cinema systems, multimedia setups, office and workstation environments, and installations with multiple HDMI-enabled devices. It is suitable for connecting source devices such as Blu-ray players, game consoles, set-top boxes, or computers to receivers such as TVs, monitors, or projectors. The support for 4K Ultra HD and 3D makes it particularly suitable for applications requiring high image quality.

Functions and Features in Detail
The cable provides high-speed transmission with support for Full HD and Ultra HD 4K@30Hz. It is designed for transmitting audio and video signals and also supports high-resolution audio formats such as Dolby TrueHD. The integrated Ethernet functionality (HEC) enables network usage over the HDMI cable, reducing cabling in the room. The connectors are two HDMI Type A plugs with 19 pins, ensuring a stable and reliable connection. The cable is black in colour, making it typically unobtrusive in installations.

Technology Explained Simply
The HDMI specification 1.4, supported by the cable, enables video signal transmission with a maximum bandwidth of 10.2 Gbit/s. This is sufficient to transmit 4K resolution at 30 frames per second and 3D video. The use of HDMI Type A connectors ensures compatibility with most common HDMI ports.

Compatibility and Accessories
The cable is compatible with devices supporting HDMI 1.4 or earlier versions. It can be used to connect audio and video sources such as Blu-ray players, game consoles, or PCs with HDMI-enabled receivers such as TVs, monitors, or projectors. Support for 4K@30Hz and 3D requires that both the source and the receiver support these features. The cable is not specifically designed for particular brands or models, but works with all devices complying with HDMI specification 1.4.

Installation and Mounting
Installation is done by simply plugging the HDMI connectors into the corresponding ports on the devices. No special mounting or tools are required. The cable length is 2 metres, sufficient for typical living and office spaces. The connectors are robustly constructed to ensure a secure connection.

Operational Advantages
The cable simplifies cabling by combining audio, video, and network transmission in a single cable. Support for 4K Ultra HD and 3D ensures high image quality, while the Ethernet functionality reduces the need for a separate network cable. The use of HDMI Type A connectors ensures universal compatibility with most common devices. The 2-metre cable length provides sufficient flexibility for use in various rooms.
