Durch ein Cu-Abschirmgeflecht werden äußere, hochfrequente Einflüsse abgehalten und so eine einwandfreie Impulsübertragung gewährleistet. Durch die paarige Verseilung werden elektrische Kopplungen innerhalb der Leitung vermieden. Über- und Nebensprecheffekte werden dadurch vermieden. Eine Beilauflitze ermöglicht einen einwandfreien Anschluss an eine Erdungsklemme.
