What is the difference between online and line-interactive UPS? Online UPS (VFI) permanently supplies connected devices through the inverter – with zero transfer time. Line-interactive UPS switches to battery in under 10 ms during a power outage and provides AVR voltage regulation. For servers with active PFC power supplies, both types should have sine wave output. |

What UPS capacity do I need for my server? As a rule of thumb: UPS rated power should be at least 1.2 times the actual load. Add up the power consumption of all devices to be protected and choose a model with sufficient reserve. For energy efficiency, models operating at 40–80% load are recommended. |

How can PowerWalker UPS systems be monitored? Via USB or RS232 interface and the included ViewPower software. For network monitoring, optional SNMP cards are available, enabling integration into SNMP management systems such as Nagios, PRTG or custom monitoring solutions. |
