RS-232 Modem Splitter Cards

Designed for the 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) chassis TL400A, these cards split data from a single modem or port to up to seven users per card.

When used with the 2U Rackmount Chassis (TL400A), RS-232 Modem Splitter Cards offer a simple, cost-effective way to connect up to four terminals to a single modem.

This system reduces the need for multiple modems and modem lines, lowering costs. The setup is straightforward—no need to configure switches, jumpers, or settings on the splitter. Simply connect the modem and terminal (DTE) devices to it and power up the modem and terminals as usual.

The master port connects to the modem via an RJ-45 straight-through cable and the necessary RJ or DB adapter, while the other ports are available for connecting DTE terminal devices.

Note: Only one terminal device can send data to the modem at any given time.
