Compact DKM Extender Units

Use these extender units with your DKM FX or DFM FXC switching system to connect user consoles and computers. These extenders allow distances of up to 140 meters over CATx, up to 1,000 meters over multimode fiber, or up to 10 kilometers over single-mode fiber. They provide pixel-perfect video at resolutions up to 2048 x 1152 at 60 Hz with 24-bit color depth. USB HID keyboard and mouse interfaces with true USB emulation support extended functions. These units offer VGA or DVI-D inputs, while high-speed models with 2.5 Gbps bandwidth are designed for demanding video applications. Options for analog and digital audio, serial data transmission, and USB 2.0 at speeds of 36 or 480 Mbps are available.

Thanks to their compact, space-saving design, these extenders support local monitoring via an optional splitter cable and can be rack-mounted in a 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) enclosure (up to 4 units in 1U) or DIN rail-mounted. Use these extenders alongside DKM FX or DKM FSC KVM Matrix switches to position computers and consoles flexibly. Choose from single or dual-head DVI-D video, VGA sources, as well as USB, audio, and serial data options.

Superior DVI-D Video Quality
With digital video signal transmission, there is no loss in image quality, ensuring sharp visuals as if directly connected to workstations. Advanced video compression algorithms support 24-bit color depth for smooth gradients and resolutions up to 2048 x 1152 at 60 Hz across the full distance. Interlaced video formats such as 1080i are also supported. High-speed models double the bandwidth to 2.5 Gbps for demanding graphic applications.

Distance Capabilities
Compact DKM extenders extend signals up to 140 meters over CAT5/6/7 cables, up to 1,000 meters over 50-micron multimode fiber cables, or up to 500 meters over 62.5-micron cables. Single-mode connections offer crystal-clear images over distances up to 10 kilometers.

USB HID
These extenders are available in two versions, with two or four USB HID ports for keyboards, mice, and other HID devices. True USB emulation ensures full support for feature-rich USB keyboards and mice.

Transparent USB 2.0
Certain compact DKM extender models support transparent USB 2.0 for seamless connectivity with USB 2.0 devices. Models like ACX1x 13-x or ACX1x-13HS-x offer transfer speeds up to 480 Mbps and provide up to 500 mA of power per port.

RS232/V.24 and Audio
Models with serial and audio ports transmit these data alongside video signals. Analog audio support allows the transmission of acoustic alarms or CD-quality music. Bidirectional audio support allows microphone signals to be sent to the workstation. Digital audio models offer superior sound quality. Transparent RS232/V.24 transmission (6 wires) up to 19.2 Kbps allows connection to touch screens, graphic tablets, and other serial devices.

Multiple Video Channels
DKM extenders come in two versions with one or two DVI-D channels. Choose dual-head models for setups with two monitors, saving both space and budget.

Analog Video Formats
In addition to DVI-D channels, VGA sources can be used, with resolutions scalable up to 1920 x 1200.

Local Monitoring
An optional splitter cable allows connection to a local DVI-D display.
