The modular DKM KVM extenders offer the widest range of combinations for video and peripheral signals, allowing you to configure the perfect KVM extender for even the most specific applications.

The modular DKM KVM extenders consist of enclosures with 2, 4, 6 or 21 slots, base modules with video and two USB HID interfaces, and expansion modules for peripheral connections. Special converter modules allow conversion from analog to digital, enabling the use of various analog video sources. Space-saving 8-port switching modules are also available with the same functionality as the DKM FXC switches.

Base Modules:

These modules provide one or two video ports and two USB HID connections for keyboard and mouse. Additionally, they offer CATx or LC fiber connections to the remote end or, in a switched environment, to the central KVM switch. Each DKM Extender chassis must have at least one base module.

Connection Types:

Choose between CATx cable, fiber with 1 Gbps, or high-speed fiber with 2.5 Gbps depending on the desired distance and video bandwidth. CATx connections are ideal for shorter distances up to 140m. Fiber modules support both multimode and singlemode cables, with ranges up to 10km. High-speed modules, offering double the standard bandwidth, are ideal for demanding graphic applications.

Video Formats:

Base modules are available in various video formats including Single Link DVI-D, DVI-I with VGA input and DVI-D output, Dual Head DVI-D, HDMI, and DisplayPort, all with two USB HID ports for keyboard and mouse.

Special Features:

Advanced modules offer additional functionality like redundant links, 2-port switches for local and remote consoles, or video-only modules for pure HD video distribution. Transparent USB 2.0 modules with 480 Mbps bandwidth are ideal for Wacom tablets and other high-bandwidth USB devices.

Resolutions:

Thanks to digital transmission with no quality loss, pixel-perfect resolutions of up to 2048 x 1152 (Single Link DVI), 2560 x 1600/2x2K (Dual Link DVI), 1080p (HDMI), or even 4K (DisplayPort) over long distances are supported.

DKM Modular Extenders Overview:

The enclosures are available as desktop models with two, four, or six slots, or as 19-inch rack versions with 21 slots. For critical applications, models with dual power supplies for redundant operation are available. Choose between internal or external power supplies with AC or DC input (12V, 24V, or 48VDC). Desktop enclosures can also be wall-mounted, under-desk mounted, or installed in 19-inch racks using optional mounting kits.
