The iPATH Controller is the central management device for building and operating an Agility-based IP KVM switching and extension network. It connects multiple Agility extenders over a local area network (LAN), enabling both crosspoint switching and point-to-point connections. This creates a scalable KVM matrix system based entirely on standard Ethernet—no proprietary switching hardware required.

The iPATH management platform centrally controls transmitters, receivers, users, passwords, and access permissions over a single IP network. When combined with Agility transmitter and receiver units, it allows multiple users to securely access multiple host computers from a centralized location. One or more administrators can manage these connections through the intuitive iPATH browser interface, supporting thousands of users and endpoints with ease.

With support for pixel-perfect HD video, audio, USB, and serial signals, the IP-based Agility matrix system is extremely flexible and allows for easy expansion. The iPATH Controller is a preloaded, compact server with a built-in DHCP server. It requires only power and a network connection to begin operation, with all configuration performed via a web browser.

Each stream—video, USB, or audio—can be sourced from separate transmitters and combined into virtual channels, allowing fine-grained access control. Grouping (Users, Channels, Receivers) simplifies administration across large-scale environments.

LDAP/Active Directory support enables secure synchronization of users, passwords, and group memberships from existing databases. Administrators can create hotkey login sequences, monitor live user sessions, and force user connections to specific targets as needed.
