Bernstein AG was founded in 1947 as a "specialist factory for switching contacts" in Porta Westfalica. From a specialist switch manufacturer, it has grown into an internationally operating company active in two core areas: DETECT (sensor and switching technology) and PROTECT (safety technology and enclosures).

The DETECT division covers mechanical limit switches, position switches and cam switches that perform reliably under the harshest conditions. PROTECT stands for functional safety: safety switches, protective door systems, two-hand controls and complete safety systems to the Machinery Directive and ISO 13849.

As an enclosure manufacturer, Bernstein also offers robust small enclosures, control cabinet systems and outdoor enclosures in aluminium, stainless steel and robust plastics for global industrial use. Lieske Elektronik supplies the complete Bernstein portfolio for your machine and plant projects.
