Allnet ALL-S0002012 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) accessory shelf, T400 mm/2 U, light grey, front mounting, content_copy

The product from Allnet, manufacturer number ALL-S0002012, is a shelf base for 48,3 cm ( 19 inch )-rack systems. It serves as a front-mounting component for attachment to the front 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) plane of a server rack and enables structured placement of devices or components within the rack space. The shelf base is finished in light grey, similar to RAL7035, and offers a universal solution for mounting in standard 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) racks. It is specifically designed for a depth of 400 mm and corresponds to a height of 2 U (rack units), which equals a total height of 88 mm. The dimensions are therefore D400 mm × W483 mm × H88 mm.

Applications

The shelf base is intended for use in IT and electrical infrastructures, particularly in server rooms, data centers, or during the installation of network and communication technology. It is mounted on the front 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) plane, providing a stable platform for devices that cannot be directly mounted on the rear wall. Front mounting allows for easy integration into existing rack configurations and supports organization within the rack.

Functions and Equipment in Detail

The shelf base is designed as a universal shelf base, which, due to its standard dimensions and mounting method, can be integrated into various 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) rack environments. It is mounted exclusively on the front 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) plane, which defines a clear mounting requirement. The light grey color (similar to RAL7035) ensures visual harmony with typical rack and cabinet components. The depth of 400 mm is sufficient for many standard devices, ensuring secure placement.

Technology Explained Simply

The term 48,3 cm ( 19 inch )-rack refers to the standard size for server and network racks, where the width of the mounting plane is 19 inches (approximately 483 mm). The designation 2 U (rack units) corresponds to a height of 88 mm, which matches the standard height for many smaller modules and devices. The depth of 400 mm allows for mounting devices that do not extend too deeply into the rack. Front mounting is done on the front plane of the rack, enabling the shelf base to function as a stable base without stressing the rear wall.

Compatibility and Accessories

The shelf base is designed for standard 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) racks and fits into cabinets that feature the usual 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) dimensions. It is not intended for rear wall mounting and can only be attached to the front plane. Compatibility is ensured as long as the cabinet depth is at least 400 mm and the mounting plane has the standard 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) width of 483 mm.

Mounting and Installation

Mounting is performed on the front 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) plane of the cabinet. The attachment is made to the front plane, enabling simple integration into existing cabinet configurations.

Operational Advantages

The shelf base provides a stable and secure platform for placing devices within the cabinet space. Front mounting allows for flexible use, especially when the rear wall is already occupied. The standard dimensions (2 U, 400 mm depth) ensure high compatibility with typical cabinet environments. The light grey color contributes to a uniform visual appearance in the rack. The universal design makes the shelf base a practical solution for various applications in IT and electrical infrastructures.
