AESUB – Scanning Sprays for Precise 3D Digitisation

AESUB (Advanced Engineering Surface Uniformity Blend) is a German company specialising in the development and manufacture of scanning sprays for industrial metrology and 3D digitisation. The sprays have been specifically developed for use with optical 3D scanners, coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) and photogrammetric systems, where glossy, transparent or dark surfaces hinder or prevent accurate scanning.

The core product AESUB Blue is a self-vanishing scanning spray – it dissolves completely and without residue within a few hours, leaving the workpiece surface completely unaffected and requiring no manual cleaning. AESUB Orange provides permanent matting for long-term marking. Both products are compatible with all major 3D scanners (Artec, FARO, Creaform, Zeiss, Nikon, GOM and others). The most widely used product in the AESUB range: a matting spray for glossy, reflective and transparent surfaces – dissolves completely and without residue after 2 to 6 hours. No workpiece cleaning required, no impact on measurement results or surface quality. Ideal for daily use in inspection rooms and production environments.

Permanently matting spray for surfaces that are scanned long-term or repeatedly – e.g. for tooling, model-making and reference measurements. Remains stable even under varying environmental conditions and requires manual removal after use.

A specialist variant of the vanishing spray, developed for applications in the food and pharmaceutical industries – for components that may come into contact with foodstuffs. Same self-vanishing properties as AESUB Blue with tested biocompatibility.
