The Moxa EDS-508A-SS-SC is a managed industrial Ethernet switch with six 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 ports and two 100BaseFX single-mode fiber ports (SC connectors). Designed for reliable performance in industrial applications, it supports an operating temperature range of 0 to 60 °C.

It features Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain technologies for <20 ms recovery times across 250 switches, with additional redundancy provided by STP, RSTP, and MSTP. Security mechanisms such as HTTPS, SSH, RADIUS, TACACS+, IEEE 802.1X, and MAC port locking ensure secure communications.

The switch is compatible with industrial protocols including EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, and PROFINET. Network features include VLANs, QoS, IGMP snooping, port trunking, bandwidth control, and automated exception warnings via relay or email.
