The Moxa MGate MB3170/MB3270 Series are advanced 1- and 2-port Modbus gateways designed to bridge Modbus RTU/ASCII with Modbus TCP. Engineered for industrial automation, these gateways offer reliable and flexible integration of serial devices into modern Ethernet-based networks. They support simultaneous access from Modbus TCP and serial masters, transparent Modbus communication, and built-in protocol monitoring.

The gateways handle up to 32 Modbus TCP clients and connect to up to 62 Modbus RTU/ASCII slaves. Routing is flexible via TCP port, IP address, or slave ID mapping. Auto Device Routing simplifies configuration, and the priority control function ensures timely response to urgent commands. Ethernet cascading and fiber options (up to 40 km) allow for robust and scalable deployment.

Isolation models provide 2 kV protection for serial ports, and wide-temperature variants operate reliably from -40 to 75°C. With advanced management, strong encryption, and DIN-rail mounting, the MB3170/MB3270 Series are ideal for demanding SCADA and remote automation environments.
