The Wizard KVM Extender - VGA, PS/2, RS232, Dual-Access, CATx extends VGA, PS/2, serial, and audio signals over CATx cables up to 200 meters. This solution is future-proof thanks to its flash memory, which allows for firmware upgrades, and is flexible and expandable. The extender is perfect for removing CPUs or KVM switches from workstations, keeping the workspace tidy without sacrificing signal quality.

Each Wizard Extender kit includes a transmitter and a receiver module. The transmitter connects to the local CPU, while the receiver relays signals to a remote workstation. Installation is particularly easy since the extender uses inexpensive CAT5/5e/6 cable, which may already be installed in the building. For larger installations, up to 16 local or remote modules can be housed in an optional 2U chassis (ACU5000A).

The extender is versatile, supporting PS/2 keyboards, PS/2 mice, serial RS-232 devices, and bidirectional stereo audio transmissions. It also supports dual access, allowing control from both the remote workstation and locally at the transmitter. When needed, multiple video channels can be transmitted simultaneously. The extender is highly compatible with IBM PCs and compatible devices, as well as Microsoft® IntelliMouse® and other popular mouse models.

With the dual or quad video option, VGA signals can be distributed to multiple remote locations or multiple video channels can be transmitted along with the keyboard/mouse signals. This flexibility makes the Wizard Extender an ideal solution for growing installations where lossless transmission of video, keyboard, and mouse signals is required.
