The SR3D safety control device is a universally applicable safety solution designed for use in machines, systems, and combustion plants. With three safe relay outputs, one signal contact, and comprehensive monitoring functions, the SR3D ensures the safe shutdown of moving parts in hazardous situations. Thanks to its flexible connection options and multiple certifications, it is an ideal choice for safety-critical applications in industry and on ships.

The SR3D allows for two start behaviors: monitored manual start or automatic start. It features cross-fault and ground-fault monitoring for additional safety. The device meets the highest safety requirements up to PL e, SILCL 3, and Category 4 according to EN ISO 13849-1 / IEC 61508.

Applications for the SR3D include single- or dual-channel emergency stop circuits as well as the monitoring of safety guards on machines and systems. The device is compatible with emergency stop buttons, safety switches, non-contact safety switches, and safety components with OSSD outputs. This versatility makes it the optimal solution for mechanical engineering, the process industry, and ship operations.

One of the most important features of the SR3D is its reliable safety function. When the emergency stop circuit (e.g., by closing a safety door or activating an emergency stop button) is closed, the machine is released. In the event of a safety request (e.g., opening a safety door), the SR3D's enabling current paths open immediately, shutting down the machine safely. The redundant arrangement of forcibly guided relays and the cyclical monitoring of the output contacts ensure that a single failure does not compromise the safety function.

The SR3D is designed for mounting on a 35 mm DIN rail according to EN 60715 TH35 and is intended for installation in control cabinets with a protection rating of at least IP54. It supports operation with AC 115 V / 230 V. Adequate ventilation in the control cabinet is required for heat dissipation. For the AC version, a minimum distance of 10 mm to adjacent devices must be maintained, and spacers from ZANDER AACHEN (part no. 472596) can be used for defined distances.
