The smoke alarms must be installed (or attached) and operated in such a way that fire smoke is detected and reported early. A permanently installed 3 V lithium battery guarantees reliable function and a long service life of the smoke alarm. The correct function of the alarm should be checked regularly by pressing the test button. Malfunctions or a weak battery are signaled acoustically and visually.
